I think it’s still the year 2020. Who knows what month or day of the week it is anymore? In this pandemic blur, I am grateful for the strangest things—a package of toilet paper, my new collection of fashionable face masks, calming reruns of the Golden Girls (a snapshot of simpler times), and the snooze/mute feature on social media.
We are each processing this ongoing, life-changing event in our own way and timing. There are good days and there are hard days, and everything you are feeling is valid and OK! Growth is the inevitable byproduct of facing difficult times. It is an opportunity to learn what is really important—to truly appreciate and value what you have. Perhaps it’s also a chance to pause, question, and reevaluate everything in your life.
We don’t exactly have a roadmap for this. Many of us are muddling through the best we can in this challenging landscape. Self-care is a top priority, because you need to operate at a high level of well-being to make it through this marathon. This means taking action steps on a daily basis to care for your body, mind, and emotions.
We all need a little help sometimes. I’d like to share my top crystal recommendations for self-care along with a simple crystal meditation that can positively support and shift you.
There is something extremely special, wholesome, and nurturing about the energy of Pink Opal. It looks like cotton candy, with the energetic frequency of an angelic hug—a refined, gentle but powerful vibration of total peace, love, and acceptance.
If you have worked yourself into a state of anxiety, fear, panic, or overwhelm, Pink Opal will dissipate it and bring you back to a calm, centered space. It stabilizes a racing heart and erratic emotions.
If you have deep emotional work to do, Pink Opal can clear the heart of old emotional wounds, traumas, and subconscious pain. It is perfectly suited to support sensitive souls and Empaths in keeping their hearts open while processing and clearing any discordant energy they feel. It promotes lightness and joy, as well as cosmic and angelic connection.
Jasper is known as the supreme nurturer, and it helps you to honor yourself more. This earthy stone has a grounding quality that assists you to take care of your physical life. It absorbs stress and negativity, clears the chakras and aura, and increases your stamina.
Red Jasper helps you to set clear boundaries and to say no to obligations and requests that would negatively affect you. It increases your self-worth and encourages you to prioritize time for yourself and your needs.
Red Jasper helps you to get real with yourself, enabling you to clearly see your problems and to find and enact the best solutions. It sharpens your mind so that you become more organized and capable of completing the tasks on your plate. When you need help to calm down and relax, Red Jasper can soothe your emotions and spirit.
Cleanse the Pink Opal and Red Jasper, call in your higher self or the angels, and lie down comfortably. Place the Pink Opal at the heart chakra and place the Red Jasper at the root chakra. Focus on taking nice deep breaths and progressively relaxing your body, from head to toe.
Next, tune into your body and ask, “Where am I holding on to stress?” See if you can sense or feel where it is, or perhaps the answer will pop into your mind. Trust what you are getting. Once you have identified an area of the body that is holding on to stress, imagine a cleansing gentle waterfall pouring into this area—purifying it completely. You could also move either the Red Jasper or the Pink Opal to that area to help absorb the stress and fill your energy with accepting and peaceful love.
Stay with it until the area feels lighter and clearer. Once you feel complete with that area, you can ask if there’s another area that holds your stress. Keep repeating the process until you feel crystal clear.Allow these two supportive crystals to be your rock in these potentially destabilizing times. And remember, you have the power to find the treasure hidden beneath any challenging situation. You were born for these times, and you’ve got this!
