Juniper; Also known as “Juniperus communis” has been used for thousands of years in the “ancient” old magic. Juniper was used for attracting love, luck, prosperity, clarity, wisdom, promoting focus, and seeing clear visions. In Shamic Journeys, Juniper is also used for protection in the spiritual world. Allowing us to connect with the spiritual realm- giving us more access to communicate with other deities and nature spirits. In old folklore they would place a Juniper plant at the entrance of your doorstep, by doing so it forces Witches to stop and count the leaves before entering the home. In other words- it was an old way of detecting if someone was a Witch before allowing them to enter. Another way of protecting oneself from bad witches and entities.
