Quartz is the most abundant healing crystal in the world. Quartz is known as the most powerful, versatile healing stone in the mineral kingdom. Quartz can work in any state, able to perform multiple powers, such as: amplifying energy, programming intentions, shielding against negativity, and attuning to one’s higher self. Quartz is known as the Master Healer, containing all positive qualities and the highest vibrations of any crystal.
Gabbro is a rather coarse, dark-colored igneous rock that exhibits a black or dark green color as it is composed of mainly plagioclase and augite, two minerals which lie deep within oceanic crust. Gabbro is used in the construction industry quite often, but is also a beautiful mineral with various healing properties. If you look closely, you can see the minor light-colored mineral grains that add to Gabbro’s composition, containing very little Quartz unlike most igneous rocks. When brightly polished, Gabbro is used to make cemetery markers, counter tops, tiles and other dimension stone products.
Onyx Meaning and Healing Properties. A banded variety of Chalcedony, Onyx is cryptocrystalline, meaning it is a stone in which consists of fine inter-growths of silica minerals, Quartz and Moganite. Onyx exhibits parallel banding making it very unique in composition, as most banding is very chaotic as seen in Agate. Though normally black, Onyx does have variants such as Sardonyx, which bands appear in shades of red due to the sard inclusions altering its coloring. Artificial treatments have also been used since ancient times to produce both common Black Onyx and colored Onyx, mostly yellow or red.
This mineral, in general, revitalizes and calms the base, sacral and solar plexus chakras. At the heart chakra, it can also assist in the ease of emotional heartache and to give renewed strength and balance; it further increases one to refrain from verbalization when silence would be beneficial. It has acted to purify the home and the environment, and can work to eliminate negativity in surrounding atmospheres.
A variety of Chalcedony and member of the Quartz family, Carnelian is orange in color varying from pinkish-orange to rusty-brown. The name Carnelian comes from the Latin word carne meaning “flesh”, due to its vibrant red and orange coloring. Carnelian is most commonly found in Slovakia, Brazil, Uruguay and Peru, though much of the finest Carnelian stone comes from India.
Gazing into obsidian can work as a mirror to reflect back inner truths that will stimulate spiritual growth and help heal past traumas.
