Containing quartz or feldspar minerals compacted and cemented together over long periods of time with the help of other minerals such as Silica or Calcite, placing the tiny grains of sand into a solid rock formation through the process of sedimentation.This occurs in environments such as riverbeds, ocean floors and even lakes over a long period of time.

In retrospect, might have preferred the 40mm version, since the 30mm is slightly over an inch in diameter, but the larger costs over twice the price of the 30mm. Still, a beautiful piece from Indonesia. This plus another from Morocco came well-packaged and quickly from Austin, TX. Thanks!
