Edison Pearls are formed from freshwater triangle mussels and well known found in China. They are grown in the inside mussel, making the colors pink to purple "carotenoids" giving them their color. They also range in other colors such as Ultra Violet, Vivid Violet, Brown and Orange.

In retrospect, might have preferred the 40mm version, since the 30mm is slightly over an inch in diameter, but the larger costs over twice the price of the 30mm. Still, a beautiful piece from Indonesia. This plus another from Morocco came well-packaged and quickly from Austin, TX. Thanks!
