The festivities begin with our Annual Citywide Treasure Hunt, 3 Days of Clues & Treasure Hunting at locations around beautiful Austin, Texas! Follow us on Facebook & Instagram to get the clues, then race to find the minerals at each location. You get to keep the minerals you find, AND be entered in a drawing for 3 Grand Prizes, to be awarded at Rock Fest on Saturday.
The Annual Citywide Treasure Hunt will be on Wednesday, July 31, Thursday August 1, and Friday August 2. Keep an eye on our social media posts - clues will be posted on Facebook and Instagram at noon on those days, and updates will be posted live as the Treasures are found.
There are 3 different minerals at each location, and a different mineral each day, so keep trying for a chance to be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing at Rock Fest on Saturday!

This free hands-on activity is designed to give children the thrill of uncovering the past themselves. Kids can uncover a museum type replica of a baby mosasaur skeleton, with basic tools and techniques used in the field, and be "Dino Hunters" for the day!
