It all began with a dream...owner/adventurer/business woman Karen Richards grew up in the rural Midwest with a love of crystals and a profound connection with Nature. While pursuing a successful career in commercial real estate in sunny Los Angeles, she never gave up on her dream of having the largest Crystal store in the world. She spent her off-time going to mineral shows, meeting miners, and getting to know prominent collectors and crystal experts, and knew that one day that dream would come true.
After many adventures, both personal and professional, Karen found herself in Austin, with a successful Business Furniture store, and a small shelf of crystals for sale in one corner. That shelf quickly grew, and people loved coming to shop for the lovingly collected selected crystals and mineral specimens. Before long, she knew she needed a place to just for the crystals, and Nature's Treasures was born.
Today, that dream is a reality, with a 30K square foot retail showroom and the broadest selection of high quality crystals, minerals, fossils and New Age items just about anywhere. With the addition of the Rock Depot, where you can find raw stones from around the world and lapidary supplies of all kinds, and the Rock Yard, where designers, landscapers and crystal lovers can find larger healing stones and crystals, Karen is keeping her promise to help people everywhere bring Nature into their lives and into their homes.
