Pink Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral with a rhombohedral crystal system and a Moh's Hardness Rating of 3 with coloration ranging from pale translucent pink to a vivid pink with pale white banding.
Pink Calcite is a stone of love and compassion. It promotes complete acceptance and unconditional love. Pink Calcite is a beautiful crystal that promotes unconditional love both of the self and of others and as such is known for stimulating, healing, and balancing the Heart Chakra.
The pink color is caused by tiny inclusions of Manganese, which can range from a light white-pink, to an extremely bold almost violet. Under UV light it emits a radiant pink and is highly soft after due to its fluorescent capabilities. We commonly refer to Pink Calcite as being very similar to Rose Quartz in that it is a pure loving stone.
