The flower on the chrysanthemum stone is made up of celestite, calcite, andalusite or feldspar, though celestite and calcite are most common. They grew against a base of black limestone, dolomite or gypsum. Our stones are unpolished yet carved to reveal the white flower-like splay of minerals including calcite, celestite or feldspar.
